Make It Work
A Programme for Black and Minoritised Care Organisations
The Make it Work (MIW) Programme supports Black and Minoritised organisations to win adult social care contracts. Its primary goal is to strengthen their business position for securing commissioned programmes in health and social care, which also boosts overall business sustainability and development. This initiative transforms adult social care commissioning through diverse levels of intervention, including improving entry to care delivery models, revamping care specifications for readability, and influencing contracts to be more suitable for Black and Minoritised organisations.
Who is this programme for and what are the benefits?
This programme is for Black and Minoritised enterprises, community businesses, and VCSE organisations to work with Bristol City Council’s care commissioning framework by unpacking what commissioning is all about and improving your understanding of how to engage as a care broker or provider in the care sector.
The programme covers:
an introduction to Commissioning Frameworks.
help preparing for organisational systems change within your organisation.
guidance and support to develop contract readiness.
mentoring and 1-2-1 sessions.
