Intangible Cultural Heritage
The UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage defines the intangible cultural heritage as the practices, representations, expressions, as well as the knowledge and skills that communities, groups, and individuals recognise as part of their cultural heritage. Intangible Cultural Heritage is sometimes called living cultural heritage, and is the way we, as communities, live, work, worship, socialise and celebrate. It allows us to identify our communities, our commonality, our diversity and reminds us of the traditions that we inherited from our ancestors and that we will transmit to our descendants.
