Wessex Water Foundation Community Fund Grants of up to £3,000 are available to groups and organisations delivering work that is improving the lives of local people who are in most need of support. The work should also be informed by the people or communities that are being served/supported.
Wesleyan Foundation Large Grants can be awarded for work that improved outcomes in one or more of the following areas:
Mental Health
Bereavement support
PSE (Personal Social Education)
Domestic Violence Support (including women’s refuges)
Isolation / befriending / listening services
The vulnerable and elderly
Dementia/quality of life
Social prescribing – alleviating the pressure from the NHS
Getting back to work – innovative travel (cycle schemes) / reducing the carbon footprint
Employment – reskilling people (not so much those that support with CV writing but those that actively prepare people for a new job / new career, interview prep, etc)
Independent Age is looking to provide 25 grants of £40,000 (£ 1 million total) to charities and community organisations to get more money into the pockets of older people and help ensure they do not have to choose between buying food to eat and heating their home this winter.
The Youth Investment Fund is made up of £288m capital and up to £80m revenue grants and is funded by the UK Government. It will drive value-for-money facilities that youth organisations can afford to sustain.
